Finding journal articles

2 simple steps to getting your article:

1. Find it by searching one of the databases to the right

2. Locate it:

  • Click on the full text link within the database OR
  • Use the Find Text button to get to the full text of the article in print or online OR
  • If we don't have the article in print or online, the Find Text button will help you get the article through Interlibrary Loan.

Need help? You can always Ask a Librarian!

Something to remember:  You need an index to find journal articles on your topic (unless you want to read a gazillion articles to find a good one).  An article index is like the index in the back of a book, but it comes in database form or as a separate print publication, like Social Work Abstracts, and shows you all the journal issues that have articles on your topic.  It targets your search to your research question search terms!
