What is an academic pass?

• Access to the NYT digital edition via website or mobile app available to all Saint Mary's students, faculty, and staff. It works on and off campus.

To register

• Go to NYTimes.com/pass
• Create Account with your Saint Mary's email address
• Create a new password
• Check your Saint Mary's email for an activation link sent by The New York Times

Can this account work with the app?

• Download apps (Android, Apple). 
• After installing the app, log in with your Saint Mary's email and the password you used when you first activated your NYT account.

1. Navigate to accessnyt.com 
2. Search for and select school  >  Saint Mary's College - Notre Dame, IN
You will be redirected to the NYT welcome page.
3. Click "Already have an account? Log in here"

4. Log in with existing NYT username (xxxxxxxxx@saintmarys.edu) and the password you used to create your NYT account.

Once completed, your digital access will be restored and you can navigate directly to nytimes.com from any web-enabled device.  You will not need to repeat the steps above for another year.

Cushwa-Leighton Library provides on- and off-campus access to The Wall Street Journal digital edition

Known as "digital group access," students, faculty, and staff have complete access to the digital Wall Street Journal. The pass includes all news, special features, special educational content, archives extending back four years, and more. 

Your pass also includes unlimited access to the Wall Street Journal app for iPhone/iPad, Android devices, and other platforms.

1. Create or reactivate an account with The Wall Street Journal.
2. Each user must activate his or her pass by first creating an account with The Wall Street Journal.
3. Finish activation online: Go to wsj.com, then click the "Sign In" box (highlighted in yellow below) on the upper right and enter your Saint Mary's email and password you used when you first activated your WSJ account.
4. Finish activation through the app: Download the app at the Wall Street Journal Mobile apps site. After installing the app, log in with your Saint Mary's email and the password you used when you first activated your WSJ account.
